Funding

The main revenue funding for the Cottage comes from the Fife Council Education and Children’s Services to provide services in the Kirkcaldy East and West areas to support families with identified needs and vulnerabilities to enable their children to continue to live at home.

As part of an early intervention approach these services aim to:

  • Improve parents skills and abilities
  • Enable parents to support their children to continue to live at home
  • Increase the confidence and resilience within the family
  • Increase access for parents to learning, training and employment opportunities

However, the Cottage staff are active in seeking additional funding opportunities that allow them to develop initiatives which complement, support and extend their main services to vulnerable families.

We are also partly funded by Fairer Scotland, The National Lottery Community Fund, R.S MacDonald Charitable Trust, The Northwood Charitable Trust, The Cattanach Charitable Trust, The William Grant Foundation and local business Briggs Marine.
