The Cottage Christmas Appeal 2021 Today we are launching our Christmas appeal in support of our children and families who are facing significant hardship and we need your help to make sure they have full bellies, warm homes and a visit from Santa Claus this Christmas. This year we continue to face the greatest challenges we have ever experienced in the 11 years we have been running our appeal due to the added stresses that Covid -19 has brought to so many families and to do this we need to raise a massive £40,000. Many of the children and families who are referred for support find themselves in crisis for a number of reasons such as they have fled domestic violence, they are homeless, they have lost of a child, or they have lost a parent, they have lost their jobs, they have significant debt, they have little or no income at all as they wait for or have their claims for Universal Credit assessed. Nobody chooses to be in these situations, this could happen to any of us at any time so please support us in any way you can, we know the difference we can make by working together so let’s do this, share our posts, donate what you can and lets show those children and families they are not on their own, that things can and will get better and there are people who care. Referral forms have now been sent to social work children and families teams , health visiting teams, nurseries and schools and other agencies in the Kirkcaldy and surrounding areas.
